LSES Vapid Tarv

"When your tough guy act Backfires, We've got you covered" - LSES

The Vapid Tarv armoured rescue vehicle is the perfect mix of speed, defence and looks. Decked out in the LSES fleet design to allow for easy distinction from LEO variants, it's a wonderful addition to your EMS unit.

Project Description

When the head of the LSES EMS faction came to me and asked for an armoured vehicle to be used in their fleet, i spent a good couple of hours coming up with the right vehicle choice. Originally I was going to use the base insurgent with some fun lights but I then found out that LENCO makes a version of the Bearcat designed for EMS/FIRE use. Thanks to a wonderful modder, there was now a lore friendly version.

The design was supposed to match the existing fleet designs for the rest of my LSES vehicles along with following the brand gridlines for the faction. It's bright colours and distinctive light pattern ensures it is clearly differentiated from any LEO vehicle.

THE DESIGN

Following the same already established colour scheme (Bright yellow, Royal blue and snow white), I was able to keep the look and feel of the vehicle similar to the existing ambulances and scouts. The Chevrons on the back are reversed to those on the back of the ambulance because when I made the original livery I accidently reversed it and honestly never picked it up until about a month later.

I like to include little "inside jokes" as well as an artist signature on all of my vehicles when I can. "PLZ NO SHOOT" was an offhand joke that one of the medics made, It was originally supposed to read "DO NOT SHOOT" but I got distracted while making it and it ended up staying. When I realised the error, I added the emoji as a fun addition.

THE RESPONSE

Everyone loved it. Sadly there was an initial push by EMS to use the vehicle unimpressively which ended up in it almost getting removed but it ended up staying. In contrast to the existing PD variant, The LSES version was 100% bullet proof and was also able to run on popped tires.
